Mayak Eggs (Mayak Gyeran) Ingredients Eggs :6 large eggs (at room temp)1 tsp salt1 tsp white vinegarwater (for boiling eggs)Marinade :1/2 cup light soy sauce (or dark soy for darker coloured eggs)1/4 cup water1 tbsp honey or choice of liquid sweetener1/2 cup onion (finely diced)1/2 cup scallion (finely chopped)3 cloves garlic (minced)1 tbsp red chilli (diced)1 tbsp green chilli (diced)1 tsp sesame oil1 tbsp sesame seeds (toasted) Garnish scallions (chopped)sesame seeds (toasted)seaweed flakes Steps Bring a pot of water to a boil, add vinegar & salt, reduce heat & gently place eggs into the water.Simmer for 6 minutes (or 10 mins for hard boiled eggs), immediately transfer into an ice water bath & allow to cool for at least 10 mins.Meanwhile in a container with a tight lid, combine ingredients for the marinade & mix well to combine.Gently peel cooled eggs, place into container of marinade, cover tightly & refrigerate overnight or at least 6 hrs.To serve, place eggs & desired amount of marinade (plus garnish if using) Source : www.instagram.com
