Download ImageStuffed Cabbage Ingredients (Makes About 8-10 Rolls)For the sauce:3 cans of tomato sauce1/2 cup of minced onions3 cloves of garlic, minced1-2 cups of sauerkrautStepsSauté garlic and onions with 1 Tbsp olive oil, then add tomato sauce, let simmer for 5 minutes.For The Filling1.5 lbs ground beef (ground chicken was used too for the theme only)3 cloves minced garlic1/2 cup minced onion1/2 cup of raw rice1/4 cup Parsley, minced1 Tbsp saltSome black pepperSteps1 core the cabbage and place the whole head in a big pot of water, boil for 5 minutes. Take it out and peel 10 leaves off2 place a small log shaped filling on a cabbage leaf and roll it up ( it’s easier if you trim off the thick part of the stem)3 take a pot or a big frying pan, place generous amount of tomato sauce at the bottom, spread some sauerkraut, add the cabbage rolls and then another layer of sauce. Repeated until all rolls are placed in.4 simmer the rolls for about 1-1.5 hours until the rice is cooked through.
