Ingredients 2 tbsp butter4 large Russet potatoes2 shallot slicedThymeSalt & pepperPepper flakes2-1/4 cup heavy cream1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese Steps Butter the cast iron. Arrange thinly sliced potatoes by overlapping slightly. Season with salt & pepper, sprinkle chillin flakes and thyme.Spread out a layer of shallots.Add cheese, then repeat another layer of potatoes, season it and pour the heavy cream.Add more cheese on top.Cover with foil and bake at 400 for 30 minutes.
