Chicken Makloubah is a traditional Middle Eastern dish that originated in the Levantine region. It is essentially a one-pot meal made with layers of spiced chicken, vegetables, and rice that are cooked together until the flavors meld and the rice is tender.

The name Makloubah means “upside down” in Arabic, and refers to the way the dish is traditionally served – by flipping it over onto a large platter so that the rice is on the bottom and the chicken and vegetables are on top. The dish is typically garnished with toasted nuts and fresh herbs and served with a side of yogurt or a simple salad.
