Saffron Chicken Ingredients Marinate 1 kg medium sized Chicken pieces for 6 hours maximum in:1 tablespoon paprika powderRed chili powder to taste1 teaspoon Coriander powder1 teaspoon cumin powder1 teaspoon garam masala1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leavesSalt to taste1/2 cup fried onions1/2 cup plain thick yogurt1/8 teaspoon or a large pinch of saffron1 tablespoon lemon juiceChopped green chillies to taste1/4 cup or handful chopped fresh coriander Steps Heat a non stick wide pot.Add 6 tablespoons of oil.Once the oil is hot, add 1 teaspoon whole cumin, 2 black cardamon, 1 x 2inch stick cinnamon.Add 2 heap tablespoons of ginger garlic paste as well as ground cardamon from 2 pods.Saute for a minute.Add the marinated chicken.Once the chicken begins to change colour and is firm; add little water.Cover and cook until done.Add more water while it cooks according to the consistency you like.Serve with loads of freshly chopped coriander.Goes well with naan and roti.
