Download ImageTavuklu Keşkek (Turkish Wheat Porridge With Chicken) Ingredients2 cups hulled wheat2 chicken breasts10 cups of water (divided & more if needed)2 tbsp butter1 tbsp chilli powder or flakes2 tsp salt (to taste)1/2 tsp ground black pepper (to taste)StepsSoak wheat in 2 cups of water for 2 hrs.When ready to cook, add 3 more cups of water into a pressure cooker, along with the soaked wheat (including the water it was soaking in) & cook for 30 mins.Meanwhile, boil the chicken in 3 cups of water for 20-30 mins or until they are cooked through (reserve boiling water)Add reserved chicken ‘stock’ into pot with wheat, mash grains with a wooden spatula & cook on medium low heat till it thickens, stirring frequently.When chicken breasts are cool enough to handle, shred & add them into the pot.Add the remaining 2 cups of water, salt & pepper, mix well & continue cooking till it reaches desired consistency (add more water if necessary).Taste to adjust seasoning & remove from heat.In a separate small pot, melt butter & add chilli powder or flakes, stir & cook for 10 secsLadle keşkek into serving bowls, drizzle with chilli oil & sprinkle chopped parsley (optional) Source : www.instagram.com
