Umm Ali (also spelled as Om Ali or Em Ali) is a popular Egyptian dessert that is made with puff pastry, milk, cream, sugar, and a variety of nuts such as almonds, pistachios, and raisins. The pastry is first baked until it is crispy, then broken into small pieces and soaked in sweetened milk and cream.

The mixture is then topped with a generous amount of nuts and sometimes cinnamon, and then baked until golden brown. It is usually served hot, and its rich, creamy, and nutty flavor makes it a favorite dessert during the holy month of Ramadan and other special occasions in Egypt and the Middle East.
