Cucur Bawang (Malay Onion Fritters) Ingredients 2 cups AP flour2 tbsp rice flour2 tbsp fresh red chilli (diced)2 tbsp scallion (chopped)1 cup onion (diced)1/2 tsp garlic powder2 cups water1 tsp salt1/4 tsp ground white pepper Steps In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients & mix well.Add hot water, stir to combine & rest for 10-15 mins.Heat enough oil in a pot on medium high for deep frying.When hot, spoon 1 heaped tbsp of the mixture & push it with another spoon.Cook for 3-5 mins (stirring often to brown all sides) till they turn golden brown or reaches desired colour.Remove from oil, place on wire rack to drain excess oil & serve with a side of chilli sauce, tomato ketchup or sauce of choice.
