Download ImageWatch Video Warbaat Bil Ashta (Cream Filled Fillo) Ingredients (Makes 20 Pieces)1 package of fillo dough- thawed- fillo2 sticks of butter (226 grams)- meltedPistachio for garnishingFor The Filling1 1/2 cups of full fat milk1/2 cup samolina1/3 cup of sugar (more or less to liking)1 tsp of orange blossom waterFor The Syrup2 cups sugar1 cup of water2 tbs of lemon juice1 tsp of orange blossom waterMethodStart by preparing your filling.In a medium saucepan, add your samolina, stir till the samolina is heated (4 seconds)Add the milk gradually while stirring.Lower the heat to medium, and keep stirring.Stir until the cream is thickened, add the sugar, orange blossom water.Turn off the heat and transfer into a bowl, set aside and allow it to cool down.Preheat your oven to 400 FOpen your fillo dough package (wrap the dough with clean towel while working to prevent it from drying)Lay one sheet of dough on your working surface, and brush it with butter. Repeat this process for 10 sheets.Do not butter the last sheet.Cut your layered dough into 3” squares.Fill it with the cream filling.Fold the squares to shape a triangle.Place it on the baking sheet.Bake for 15-20 mins or until golden.Remover from the oven, pour some syrupAllow the syrup to absorb.Garnish and enjoy!
