Saffron Rice Pulao Ingredients For the saffron rice-(serves 4)11⁄2 cups uncooked rice2 tbsp ghee1 tsp cumin seeds1/2 tsp fennel seeds2 Bay leaves3 cardamom4 cloves1 cinnamon6-7 garlic cloves1 medium onion1 tsp salt1/4 tsp saffron4 cups water Steps Heat the ghee in a large skillet. Once heated add the cumin seeds, fennel seeds & whole spices & fry for a few seconds.Add the garlic & onion & saute until onions almost caramelise.Now add the rice & stir for 1-2 mins until it’s slightly toasted. Add water, saffron strands & salt. Mix well.Cover the pan & let the rice cook till it absorbs all the water & becomes grainy.Garnish with toasted almonds & fresh herbs. Enjoy!
