Mahalabia is a Middle Eastern dessert made from milk, sugar, and cornstarch. The milk and sugar are heated together in a pot until the sugar dissolves, then the cornstarch is added and the mixture is stirred constantly until it thickens. It is usually flavored with rose water, orange blossom water, or cardamom, and then poured into small bowls or cups to set.

Once it has set, it is usually chilled in the fridge until ready to serve. It is often garnished with pistachios, almonds, or other nuts and sometimes with rose petals or dried fruit. Mahalabia is a creamy and rich dessert with a delicate floral flavor.
